london-based artist Marcus Reed has illustrated a lovely series that imagines the alphabet in the form of animals. His illustrations feature animals like alligators,dolphins and jellyfish creatively posed to form the different letters of the alphabet.Each animal corresponds to its respective letter , for example 'P'is represented by a penguin while 'F' is represented by a fox.

Architectural alphabet, Antonio Basoli

       Though perhaps not as clever and imaginative as the Landscape alphabet by L.E.M. Jones — that I recently highlighted here on Lines and Colors — this architectural alphabet by Italian artist Antonio Basoli is nonetheless well done and amusing.
Basoli published his Pictorial Alphabet, or, a collection of pictorial thoughts composed of objects beginning with the individual letters of the alphabet in 1839.
